Maternity Photos in Pioneer Square, Seattle
So you’re due with your baby in the winter (yay!) and you want to take maternity photos, but you’re nervous about weather - how about a cityscape maternity shoot in Pioneer Square?
You can bundle up and grab a coffee and we’ll traipse around looking for ivy-covered bricks and gorgeous architecture.
Here are some of the frequently asked questions I get for maternity photoshoots in the off-season:
What if it rains?
We can either:
Stay the course
Most often, my suggestion is we stay the course! As long as it isn’t down pouring or you have small children who will be miserable, a little drizzle creates a dreamy atmosphere. Plus, it rarely rains for the entire session.
Come up with an alternate plan
If you really don’t want to take photos in the rain, then I suggest we book a studio or in-home session.
How much are maternity photos?
My maternity photo prices begin at $600.
What does that include?
Up to 1 hour of shooting
2 outfits
1 location
50+ photos in an online gallery, with unlimited download and printing rights
Do you bundle maternity newborn photos?
Yes, I do! I charge $1100 for a maternity/newborn bundle!
When should I take maternity photos?
My recommendation is about a month before baby is due. Some people prefer to have them done earlier, so that they’re a little more nimble, but I will not have you do any crazy movements!
If there are any complications or your doctor sets an earlier induction or c-section date, we can absolutely take them sooner.
Should I take maternity photos?
I wholeheartedly believe that yes, you should! This is such a sacred time for women. Your body is doing the insane work of creating a human. You should be revered and celebrated.
